Forum AdministratorWhen you say that you updated the Web GUI and that ORP now uses an array, that leads me to believe that you have downloaded the WebGUI code from GitHub. Yes the current development version that I am working on has changed from hard coded text to an array. That array will get generated by the new class and then run through a another function/method that will parse it into an INI file format and write to svxlink.conf.
There are a good bid of complex dependencies going on. If you simply updated and existing available IMG file (i.e. 1.1.0) with the code from GitHub, you may have broken something. Not everything is no GitHub and required custom configuration when the images are build.
We are working to support more modules within the new version of ORP. Are you looking for something in particular? If I know, I may added it to my list.
Other than that, if you are doing a complex configuration you may be best doing a bare SXVLink install. ORP is certainly a good springboard into that.

Forum AdministratorSo If I understand it correctly, from your screenshot your are using the ORP development code base? Version would be listed as “ionosphere” at the bottom of the GUI. Did you copy the Echolink folder and rename for FRN module as a template. All the settings for modules under this framework should be saved as a serialized array to the modules table in the database. I’m assuming that you’ve already figured that part out. There are controls under the Modules UI to enable/disable the module. When enabled this should write a settings into the modules DB table, when you rebuild the config ORP should add the module to the list of enabled modules in svxlink.conf file. There are also some other particular like SVXLink expects the namespace of the module files to be a certain way.
I am not at home to look at this right now so I am going from memory. I have not experience with FRN, but I believe this is one of the provided svxlink modules. If so, I have no problem trying to help you build out a UI for it and include it in ORP. As long as the module seems stable enough to include.

Forum AdministratorSorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am not sure what you mean by:
I transform echolink settings page to FRN settings.
Can you explain this further?
ORP does not currently attempt to write to FRN module config. I would suggest you just edit your ModuleFRN.conf file manually.
I personally have not tried the FRN module. I am working on making a module framework to allow UI development for other modules. So perhaps you can give feed back on FRN when you get it working for a future release.

Forum AdministratorAlso a concern with Zello is that it is more opened than something like echolink…meaning anyone with the app on there phone could potentially connect into an amateur repeater and make unauthorized broadcasts. Services like Echolink are designed for amateur radio and accounts are vetted to ensure the user is a licensed ham. Of course right now this is just therory of practicality. There might be other issues integrating it as well, but this is a big road block.

Forum AdministratorThis would probably have to be done as a module or via a hardware port. I would imaging that you could have a weather ready connected into a link port that would key and retransmit over the repeater when warnings come in if that is what you are after. I think someone may have been working on a weather module for SVXLink also, but I would have to do some digging to see if I could find out who.

Forum AdministratorAnything may be possible, but it would have to be built into a module to do so, like echolink is. I wasn’t sure what Zello was so I had to look it up. It looks like it may be more of a commercial solution. ORP focuses more the Amateur Radio side of things. If someone was to spend the time working on other VOIP integrations it would likely be on something like Allstar network and IRLP. Hope that helps.

Forum AdministratorI will send you a private email that contains a link to a dev image that you can try. I just don’t want to include it here as it is not fully tested and the link may go away in the future.

Forum AdministratorInteresting? So it sounds like you have changed just about everything but the Pi. Make sure that you do not have anything plugged into the US ports like sound cards. Are you booting the Pi with a monitor? You won’t be able to see a Kernal Panic via SSH, not sure about UART method.
Have you tried booting the pi with another image like the official Raspbian image from the Raspberry Pi site? I’d be curious to know if you experience the same results.
We are currently working on the next version, but if you’ve tried 1.1.0 and 1.0.0 then is sounds like it could be something else. What are you using to unzip the files and image them to the card? I wonder if that is messing something up. You may want to verify the checksum provided on the download page to verify you have a full zip file. Let us know.

Forum AdministratorHello Douglas,
I would say that is up in the air at the moment. I have noticed the same thing. As of this writing, I had shot Juan an email a few weeks ago asking the same thing and I have not received a response yet. Perhaps I will try again soon or see if I can email Christian. They have always been kind of random on their group orders that they did. I definitely want to promote it for them if they are.If you need it I may have a schematic floating around. I think you can still download it off of f5UII page that I have link to on our new hardware page in the top menu. That board design is mostly through hole components.
The MMDVM board that they offer are a different animal and will not work with ORP. They are for DV modes.
If you have not purchased an SVXLink card already, I encourage you to check out the ICS boards on the same hardware page. I believe what they are offering their 2X model fully assembled at is about the same price as they were selling the SVXLink Card as a kit. If you are needing the relays, you can add an external board. The ICS boards have integrated sound (no usb sound cards). If you go that route, let me or Dan with ICS know and we will get you an IMG of ORP that also includes the enabled sound driver. Its not currently release as of this posting.
Hope that Helps.

Forum AdministratorHi James,
I had to take a hiatus from the project for a better part of 2017 due to work demands. My goal is to get back to developing on it again soon. We do have a development image, that should have the relay module incorporated into it, it is just not live as of this posting. If you want to email me, I will send you a link to it (info at this domain name). Again it is just a “beta”. I don’t want to post links here because I don’t want people downloading it with the wrong expectations as well as if we remove it from the dev server, then there is a broken link issue. Thanks.73,
