Downloads with three browsers:
FireFox = 958,237kb
IE = 758,813kb
Chrome = 967,076
I found it it interesting that I have downloaded the file from three browsers with thre different file sizes.
FireFox = 958237kb
IE = 758813kb
Chrome = 967076kb
Yep, Chrome appears to work. Correct file size is now reported.

Looks like Chrome works, however the disk images writes to the SD card as a single EXT4 partition. For the Raspberry Pi this is incorrect. It requires a FAT partition for the boot section.

well once I get back online and setup in a new place I will have to go over it but I pulled and booted my pi2 fine today .
This is a pi-2 only img .. its not for older pi boards
You could try verifying the integrity of the downloaded file before you unzip it by checking the SHA256 hash of the file.
On linux, cd to the folder where the file was downloaded. The command sha256sum <file>
will give an output similar to the following. This is the actual SHA256 hash from the file I downloaded.

I have not tried in Windows but a quick google search found
which should result in an identical hash if the file you downloaded is not corrupted or truncated.

can someone test the updated img I just uploaded? I just put up a new one
I will be doing checksumsĀ on the next version of the files. this is just first beta.
Hey Guys,
As stated above, Richard swapped out the RPI2 IMG. One important thing to note is that the file size has been decreased by about 1/3. This should help with lessening the chance for the file getting truncated as it was almost 1 GB before. Let us know how it works out for you.
OpenRepeater is offered free of charge. Find out how you can support us.
Hi Aron,
It was impossible for me to download the file using several browsers or wget. Also I limited the speed to 1Mbps and it was not that.
I recommend:
– on the site put the direct link to the file ex: /wp-contents/uploads/openrepeater-raspi2-1.0.0-beta1-07_07_15.img.gz
– create a Sourceforge account and why not GitHub account and put the files there
– post the check-sum of the file. Win32DiskImager is able to calculate the check-sum by default
Don’t you have a deb that would install openrepeater on the stock raspbian distro? I can help you with this if you wish. Also, is openrepeater working on Pi version 1?
