This is bizarre as this has been working flawlessly for a long time. Seems to be some type of encoding error. The modules files are not kept on the same server, but rather passed through the download manager for tracking stats. The files are kept on GitHub and as a work around you can grab the latest release of each of these modules here:

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorDave,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I over look this as it was pending moderation because of the links. Thanks for your report. I believe this should be corrected now. It seemed to be a caching server/redirect issue. I’ve purged the cache and resaved the module downloads which should regenerate the rewrite rules for the links. I spot tested the two links you mentioned above and they appear to work again. Let me know if you experience any further issues. Thanks.73,

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorTrying to reply on the go right now, but from your previous reply it sounds like you are getting both audio in and out with IDs.
Still baffles me that you are not getting anything from Parrot. I will have to try it in simplex to be certain it functions. On the surface I’m not picking anything out of your configuration file that looks out of the norm. I would watch the log and ensure that it is activity the module.
I know EchoLink can be weird and only partially function if not all the router and port forwarding is configured properly. I’d focus on getting parrot to work first to ensure the building blocks are working.

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorFrom that I can see, the logs look normal. We already established rx audio is working at least reasonably since you are getting DTMF decodes. When you say that you can hear your IDs ever 10 minutes, is that from a speaker/headphones as suggested or from the radio? If it’s from the speaker but you aren’t getting audio from the radio, that that would obviously be an interface problem. If you are getting the audio from the radio (meaning ID) then it could be a problem with EchoLink. Still unclear where the audio is coming from and if you were able to get the local parrot module to work.
You can always posts a sanitized version of your svxlink.conf file here for us to look over for possible issues as well. That is located at /etc/svxlink/svxlink.conf

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorAlso in the UI under the sound settings make sure you have the correct channel selected for your setup…left/right. Maybe try the other one.

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorYes it does sound like you have an audio output problem. Yes the parrot module is local…no voip issues. If you are getting DTMF decode and seeing that in the logs then you are getting reasonable audio in. Here’s a few things to try:
– disconnect the audio out from the sound card that goes to the input of the radio and plug in a set of headphones or powered speakers. It will make trouble shooting much easier.
– double and triple check the alsamixer settings, make sure that the output isn’t muted.
-try a different sound card
-use the speaker test function of alsa.Hope that helps narrow it down.

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorAre you hearing any IDs from the radio or just dead air when it tries to communicate?

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorAlso ensure that you don’t have your software based active high/low inverted for your hardware.

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorOk I was making sure that you weren’t using specific hardware with an audio codec. The newer kernel mutes its output by default which we fixed in 2.1.3. That shouldn’t be an issue on 2.1.2 unless you updated the system. Since you are using home brewed hardware doesn’t sound like it should affect you. You can still use the alsamixer to check to make sure you have the appropriate levels and nothing is muted.
Sounds weird but what size memory card are you using and have you expanded the file system? I’ve seen some odd behaviors when it runs out of space.

Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorHello Randy,
What are you using for interface hardware? What version of ORP are you running?73,
