When trying to download modules from the site I’m seeing:
Error 503 Backend fetch failed Backend fetch failed Guru Meditation: XID: 3998269 Varnish cache server
URL that was attempted:
https://openrepeater.com/download/remote-relay/
Also seems to be happening for:
https://openrepeater.com/download/metar-information/

Sorry for the delay in responding. I over look this as it was pending moderation because of the links. Thanks for your report. I believe this should be corrected now. It seemed to be a caching server/redirect issue. I’ve purged the cache and resaved the module downloads which should regenerate the rewrite rules for the links. I spot tested the two links you mentioned above and they appear to work again. Let me know if you experience any further issues. Thanks.73,

April 8, 2021 at 12:31 pm #3420Steve, WRMG613UserDon’t know if the problem I am having is related, but I downloaded the zip file and try to install install it and get a error (There was a problem Unzipping the file) so I look at the file size and it show 600kb. When I try to open it there nothing in it.
April 8, 2021 at 12:41 pm #3421Dave, KI6ETLUserI hadn’t gone as far to check the zip file, as I was working on something else. I am seeing errors with unzipping the files as well.
April 8, 2021 at 12:59 pm #3422Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorThis is bizarre as this has been working flawlessly for a long time. Seems to be some type of encoding error. The modules files are not kept on the same server, but rather passed through the download manager for tracking stats. The files are kept on GitHub and as a work around you can grab the latest release of each of these modules here:
https://github.com/OpenRepeater/MODULE_Remote_Relay/releases/tag/v1.1
https://github.com/OpenRepeater/MODULE_Metar_Info/releases

August 11, 2021 at 4:43 pm #3438haydenUserHi, broken for me too. Also not sure if related or deliberate or not, but I couldnt find any links to the modules page on the website here. Only via a link in the OR admin.
August 11, 2021 at 4:57 pm #3441haydenUserI also just noticed there are more modules available at git hub than listed on the website index.
August 12, 2021 at 9:39 am #3442Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorHello Hayden,
Looks like the rewrite ghost is back. I will have to look into that. For the time being you can certainly grab the zip files off of GitHub repos as mentioned above. Yes the Modules that are listed on ORP site are those that are considered more production ready. The extra repos on GitHub are experimental or incomplete modules. Those are not listed as it would create more support questions from users that are not coders that could be kept up with. They are on GitHub for other developers to tinker with. Should they get to a production ready state then they could be listed.73,
