Have tried a different sound card (Logitech). Same results. Have tried switching all combinations of left and right channels. Switching left vs right on the sound card microphone makes no difference. It is a monaural microphone after all. Switching left vs right on the sound card headphone output just turns on or off my receive audio on my listening radio. It requires left channel, which is how I wired it.
How do I send commands to svxkink if I hook up a headset/mic. I would someway to do the equivalent of DTMF codes?
Here is my sxlink.conf

Tested my sound card on windows with a mic/headphone set. works ok there. put back on OR and still no Parrot or
Echolink. All else same and results are same. Gotta go get my second Covid shot now. will experiment further this evening.Randy, AD7LMUsercaptured some of the log:

It generally does catch DTMF but not 100 percent reliable.
It ID’s just fine. Hear my call sign CW every 10 minutes.
Have selected left channel sound and that is how I wired my connectors, both.I will pound on Alsa and sound cards till I get Parrot working.
Thx much for now.
Randy, AD7LMUserJust loaded up 2.1.3 and get the same behavior.
Tried Parrot. It records and echoes nothing. Does it run locally on the RasPI
or is it VOIP also. If it is local on the Pi, then I do have a problem getting sound from my radio to my Pi. Except DTMF commands are working fine. ????Randy, AD7LMUserI don’t remember whether or not I did an update. May have. Am using Sabrent USB sound card, model no: AU-EMAC.
Randy, AD7LMUserThe radio and the pi communicate ok,so the ptt and cos active states are good. I am using and 8GB full size sd card on a Pi 2. I did expand the file system.
Randy, AD7LMUserDid that test. Passed. Before I opened up my router I couldn’t connect to anything and I couldn’t hear any audio from Echolink, only from the OpenRepeater software on the RasPi. Now I can give commands to Echolink and can hear incoming audio from them. Just no outgoing.
Randy, AD7LMUserHome made hardware. Just a couple of optoisolators, a npn transistor, and a couple of capacitors, and 5 resistors. Hardware works otherwise DTMF codes would not get to the ras pi or I couldn’t hear receive audio. Both of which work.
I was using version 2.1.2. I see that 2.1.3 just landed. Will try that.
Randy, AD7LMUserP.S. Yeah, I tried turning on and off listen only mode. Made no difference. Sure acts as if stuck in listen only mode though.
