Are there any instructions or scripts that I can use to build a raspberry pi 3 OpenRepeater?
March 29, 2016 at 9:56 am #1760Aaron, N3MBHForum AdministratorGreetings,
Until we do the next build with the latest version of Raspbian that supports the RPI3, you should be able to do a build yourself. The build script for the RPI 2 can be found here: https://github.com/OpenRepeater/scripts/tree/1.1.x/RasPi-B%2B-RasPi-2
The download that is referenced in the top of the script should link to the latest Raspbian Lite image as the link is dynamic. You can also find that here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/
We use Raspbian Lite which is more slimmed down and has not desktop gui overhead since ORP is designed to run headless. The main thing our build is missing the correct version of Raspbian Lite that has the support for the new RPI3 processor.
The rest of the build script should work fine if you follow the instruction. Hope that helps.

April 10, 2016 at 11:33 pm #1785Justin, KD8ASAUserWell I tried loading the script.
After loading and restarting the wpa supplicant is not working nor am I able to load the configuration website to further configuration.

I just wanted to let you know that the current build (1.1.0) has been updated to be compatible with the Raspberry Pi 3 as well as the RPI2. You can find this on our downloads page. Other than that nothing has change in the build…same version of ORP. Stay tune for a later announcement of our next release we are currently working on. I’ve tested and everything seems to be functional. Make sure you are plugging in via ethernet initially.73,

I just wanted to let you know that build 1.1.0 worked for me.
I still need to get some wiring done but it looks like the software should be good to go.
